The children enjoyed collecting autumn leaves around the school
After collecting the leaves they went back to the classroom to observe the changes in texture, smell and form of the leaves.
They stepped over the leaves after listening to the story (Clifford's Autumn Leaves). they found out that they become dry and cracks easily into pieces. Some children noticed that the autumn leaves have different smell.
After painting orange, yellow and brown the colors of the autumn leaves ,they experienced the art technique of sticking them on the painted papers.

Dear Parents,
We have just started our first PYP organizing theme ( How We Organize Ourselves). The Central Idea; is that communities function more effectively when rules and routines are shared with all members. Our main focus is to teach the children how to be responsible in taking positive action, how to work in a group and the need of rules and routines to function properly as well as understanding the communities they belong to. In order to reach our objectives the children now are exploring school environment and class materials.
free painting / exploring art materials
classifying the RED manipulatives/ working as a group
enjoying finger paint
enjoying free drawing by dipping chalk in water
playing with RED playdough
learning how to share the toys in the dramatic corner
free painting
showing responsibility that after free sticking using glue sticks they need to arrange there place by putting each material in its place.
