How The World Wroks

Dear Parents,

We are now working in the organizing theme(How The World Works). Central Idea: Food goes through changes before eaten. The children are exploring the changes of some products while preparing them and the steps to follow in order to make a dish. They understood that through boiling, baking or freezing these products are edible and might change in form and taste.

The children followed the steps in making pizza in class First they observed the ingredients to make the dough then each made his/her pizza. They understood that we need to bake the dough to be edible.

Sharing The Planet

Dear Parents

We have started with our fourth organizing theme ( Sharing The Planet). Our Central Idea is : Animals have specific needs in order to stay healthy and grow.
The children are going to inquire about the characteristics of animals, their responsibility towards the animals and the need of animals to grow and stay healthy.
Your child can bring his/her pet to class for observation and sharing information with others but please inform me before hand.

Thank you

Mrs. Frem the mother of Marco brought to class many different pieces of colored fabrics and participated with the children in completing the final project of the theme (Who We Are). After tracing one boy and one girl on a craft paper the children used their imagination and ideas by sticking the fabrics, drawing and using yarns. They enjoyed a lot this activity .
